Geomembrane sheets
Geomembrane are sheets made of polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC, which are thin, flexible and impermeable polymer materials. In the factory and in a controlled environment, they are produced in thicknesses of 1, 1.5 and 2 mm, different widths and different lengths of rolls up to 100 meters.
What is a geomembrane sheet?
Geomembrane sheet Geomembrane is an impermeable layer that can be used as insulation without the need for infrastructure. These sheets are made of different polymers such as polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride and are used inside the soil to control the flow of fluids (liquids and gases) to structures and construction projects. Geomembrane sheets are very resistant, have a long life and are very economical to use.
Types of geomembrane sheets
In general, geomembrane sheets can be classified into two categories: polyethylene geomembrane and PVC geomembrane.
On the other hand, polyethylene geomembrane has various categories, which we will mention below:
- HDPE polyethylene geomembrane sheet or heavy polyethylene
- VLDPE polyethylene geomembrane sheet
- LLDPE polyethylene geomembrane sheet or light polyethylene
- PVC geomembrane
